Welcome to December!

DSC04567

This is what greeted me at 6:00 a.m. yesterday morning.  Nothing like going from zero to 4 – 6 inches . . . gotta adjust that old driving habit of zooming off to work – it was more like a crawl yesterday morning and even this morning, the highways were still pretty packed and rough.  SUCKS!!!  Big time.  Only five more months though – gotta keep looking on that bright side!

We were in Winnipeg briefly over the past weekend and stayed with my daughter . . . look at her new blinds – aren’t they great?  They certainly make the room more interesting . . . those Home Depot people always keeping up on the trends.

Had a chance to go see the New Moon movie, a little magazine shopping and even got one of the big Christmas gifts marked off my list – all in all, not too bad of a weekend.

The old sewing room is feeling just a bit like Santa’s workshop with a quilt being quilted and another getting cut out and ready for sewing . . . need to do some pressing and also cut some binding to have at the ready.  Also need to make a couple more gifty bags for next week . . .

How many more days ‘til Christmas????

‘til next time,

M.

Yikes... really does look like winter in "Winterpeg"!! Love the blinds - think I may need to look closer at what Home Depot has...

My goodness, winter has hit! I'll think of you at Christmas, you will be freezing while we will be sweltering.
